"About BackSplash II...
BackSplash II replaces your Macintosh's Desktop background with the picture
of your choice. You place pictures in a folder named "BackSplash Picts" in
your Preferences folder. BackSplash II then keeps the picture(s) displayed
on your desktop as you work. You can have BackSplash II change the
currently showing picture occasionally, to prevent dreaded desktop
boredom. You can add pictures any time you want without rebooting,
change pictures any time you want without rebooting, position the
System 7 - ??
"NOTE FOR SYSTEM 6 USERS:
Although BackSplash II works with System 6.0.5 and above, some capabilities may not be available in certain situations due to the limitations of those older Mac OS versions. Also, it has not been tested as well with the older operating system versions. I did limited testing with 6.0.5 and 6.0.7 on a MaIIci with a broad range of 8-bit (256-color) pictures and nothing apparently bad happened."
